Cyber Awareness Month October (CAM)
Since its inception under leadership from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the National Cyber Security Alliance, NCSAM has grown exponentially, reaching consumers, small and medium-sized businesses, corporations, educational institutions and young people across the nation.
Cyber Crime Awareness Foundation has begun to observe it since 2016 in Bangladesh for first time. This organization has become the official champion of the Cyber Awareness Month campaign. This campaign is worldwide promoted by National Cybersecurity Alliance (NCSA) of USA under the Department of Homeland Security.
With recent legislation and support from the White House, cybersecurity is continuously a popular topic of discussion and rightfully so. More specifically, there is even stronger focus on consumers and their cyber safety. This means that as soon as you see an interesting post on the Internet, you have to stop immediately without clicking on it, then you have to think about what the topic is and then if you feel safe, you can click on it or connect with it. Also, before sharing any content on the Internet with your acquaintances, you need to verify the original source. Then we can refrain from harming the society by spreading any misinformation in the subconscious mind.সাইবার সচেতনতা মাস অক্টোবর
প্রতি অক্টোবর আন্তর্জাতিকভাবে সাইবার নিরাপত্তা সচেতনতা মাস হিসেবে উদযাপিত হয়ে থাকে। মূলত মাসব্যাপী এই ক্যাম্পেইন হলো সাইবার নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত করতে সরকার ও ইন্ডাস্ট্রিগুলোর মধ্যে একটি সম্মিলিত প্রয়াস। সাইবার নিরাপত্তা সচেতনতা মাস উদযাপনের মধ্য দিয়ে দেশের প্রত্যেক নাগরিককে এটা নিশ্চিত করা হয় যে, ইন্টারনেটে নিরাপদ থাকতে ও অধিক নিরাপদ অনলাইনের জন্য যেসব পূঁজি থাকা আবশ্যক আমাদের তার সবই রয়েছে।
বাংলাদেশে ২০১৬ সালে আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে প্রথমবারের মতো সাইবার নিরাপত্তা সচেতনতা মাস উদযাপন শুরু করে স্বেচ্ছাসেবী সংগঠন সাইবার ক্রাইম অ্যাওয়ারনেস (সিসিএ) ফাউন্ডেশন। এর পর থেকে প্রতি অক্টোবরে ইন্টারনেটের নিরাপদ ব্যবহার নিয়ে মাসব্যাপী নানা সচেতনতামূলক কর্মসূচি বাস্তবায়ন করে থাকে সংগঠনটি। সরকারি-বেসরকারি প্রতিষ্ঠানও এখন এই কর্মসূচি বাস্তবায়ন করছে। অক্টোবরের প্রতি সপ্তাহে আলাদা থিমে ক্যাম্পেইন হয়। আশা করা হচ্ছে খুব অল্প সময়ের মধ্যে মাসটির উদযাপন ব্যাপকভাবে বিস্তৃতি লাভ করবে। পৌঁছে যাবে দেশের সব ভোক্তা, ছোট ও মাঝারি আকৃতির ব্যবসা প্রতিষ্ঠান, করপোরেশন, শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান ও তরুণ সমাজের কাছে।
